Career Description 

Manufacturing Technicians use computer technology applied in product fabrication and machining. As a Manufacturing Technician, you can either program or operate the machine to manufacture a large variety of products from the molding that is used to produce the pen you write with to any of the parts used to construct a helicopter. To become more marketable most Technicians are trained to program and operate the machines Computer-Aided Design and Computer-Aided Drafting(CAD) are becoming increasingly valuable tools in this field. We recommend that you increase your employment opportunities and gain a working knowledge of each. Technicians are employed in manufacturing and industrial settings.
