Career Description
In this field, you will assist employees in maintaining a safe and accessible workplace. Facilities Technicians provide short and long-term planning schedules to maintain compliance, a safe work environment, and cost beneficial production schedules. You will work closely with safety and health officers, management and administration. You will be required to plan routine maintenance on equipment and systems used to operate physical plants. You must also have complete knowledge of health, safety, and environmental standards and regulations. You must have considerable knowledge in the areas of heating, ventilating, air conditioning, refrigeration, electrical and mechanical systems and be able to solve problems in emergency situations.
